What do I really want?
- to be happy
- to see the people I love happy
- to fulfill my purpose
- to leave a footprint
- to live life in this body on this planet in this time
- the promise of eternity: the expectation of what comes next.
- the approval of those who came before me
- to experience as much as I can in this life
- to feel like I’ve done my best
- to feel like I’ve moved the ball
- to matter
- to know the truth
- to contribute
- to understand why
- to finish my race
“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” John 12:24 NKJV
Note to self: Trust the soup, buddy. Trust the soup. (People try to understand the Holy Spirit aka the spirit/voice of God) is it really so hard? He speaks. Listen.
The present moment and eternity are linked. Understand this. The truth, the desires and purpose of God are far beyond your comprehension. Trust the soup. That’s all you’ve got. But it’s also all you need.
In our flaws, are our promise.
If I were one in a million, would I recognize it?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson, A Return To Love
